Kinetic EV Eyes Seven Markets Including Turkey for Global Expansion
Kinetic Watts & Volts is evaluating expansion opportunities in Turkey, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt as it looks to take its electric two-wheeler business global.

Kinetic Watts & Volts (KWV) is preparing to expand its electric two-wheeler business into international markets. Following the growing momentum of its domestic operations in India, the company is evaluating opportunities across select global markets.

In the initial phase, Kinetic EV is focusing on Turkey in Europe; Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in neighbouring markets; and Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt in Africa.

According to the company, international expansion is the next important phase of Kinetic EV's growth strategy. It is assessing markets that have strong potential for electric two-wheelers, while evaluating market opportunities, regulatory environments, customer requirements and potential partnerships.

Kinetic EV international expansion comes as the company continues to strengthen its dealer network in India. It currently has 45 exclusive showrooms operational across the country, with around 40 additional outlets expected to become operational over the next two months.

The company has also issued 150 Letters of Intent (LOIs) for its exclusive dealership network. According to Kinetic Watts & Volts, the LOIs reflect strong interest from prospective dealer partners and growing confidence in the Kinetic EV proposition.

For its global expansion, Kinetic EV has identified initial markets across Europe, neighbouring countries and Africa.

Turkey is being evaluated as a key European opportunity, while the company is assessing the potential for electric two-wheelers in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

In Africa, Kinetic EV is focusing on Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt. The company is evaluating these markets based on their electric vehicle ecosystems, potential demand for electric two-wheelers and opportunities to establish distribution and partnership networks.

To support its international expansion strategy, Makarand Joshi has joined Kinetic Watts & Volts and will lead international business development.

Joshi brings more than two decades of experience in developing international markets for Indian automotive products. His experience spans Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa, covering multiple automotive segments including two-wheelers, commercial vehicles and tractors.

His responsibilities will include international market development, business expansion and building distribution networks across potential markets.

Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Kinetic Watts & Volts, said international markets represent an important opportunity as the company enters the next phase of its electric mobility journey.

He said Kinetic products are built in India for the world, with a focus on providing accessible, reliable and contemporary electric mobility solutions that can meet the requirements of diverse markets.

Firodia added that the company's domestic expansion is providing a strong foundation for its international plans. With 45 exclusive showrooms already operational, another 40 expected to come online in the next two months and 150 dealership LOIs issued, the company is simultaneously building the capabilities, partnerships and market understanding required to establish Kinetic as a global electric mobility brand.
