Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation has announced a partnership with Mumbai-based Orion Racing India to support student-led innovation in electric vehicle (EV) technology and nurture early-stage engineering talent.
Orion Racing India has been active in Formula Student competitions for nearly two decades and transitioned from internal combustion engines to electric prototypes in 2019. The team’s electric racecar platform serves as a hands-on learning environment, allowing students to work on real-world challenges in power systems, energy management, vehicle safety, and performance optimisation.
According to the company, the collaboration is focused on building critical skills needed to strengthen India’s electric mobility ecosystem. The institution highlighted that such industry partnerships enhance practical, application-based learning for students.
The initiative also aligns with Lauritz Knudsen’s broader business focus on EV charging infrastructure and power distribution, reinforcing stronger collaboration between industry and academia.
