Mercedes-Benz India has inaugurated its new 2S service facility, Prime Star, in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, further strengthening its customer service network in the state. With this addition, the luxury automaker now has 10 customer touchpoints across Uttar Pradesh, including Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Varanasi.
Located near Varanasi Airport, the new facility spans approximately 25,000 sq. ft. and houses 10 service bays, a dedicated spare parts section, and infrastructure for preventive maintenance, general repairs, and bodywork. A key highlight of the facility is its 180 kW fast EV charger with two charging bays, enabling quick charging for Mercedes-Benz battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
The centre is staffed by around 20 trained service professionals and integrates both vehicle delivery and after-sales service under one roof, offering customers a seamless ownership experience.
Commenting on the expansion, Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said that Varanasi and Eastern Uttar Pradesh represent a high-growth market for luxury automobiles. He added that bringing world-class service standards closer to customers in the region will support the company's long-term growth strategy.
Alongside the inauguration, Mercedes-Benz also showcased the recently launched Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+ in Varanasi. The company stated that the new facility is part of its broader network expansion plan, under which it intends to open more than 20 new outlets across India in 2026.
