More Opportunities for Youth in the Space Sector: PM Modi Interacts with Startups, Suhora Technologies Also Participates
PM Modi discussed India’s growing private space sector, new technologies, investment, youth participation & wider space applications with Suhora Technologies also participating in the important interaction.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the founders and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of 20 leading Space startups at Seva Teerth.During the interaction, the Prime Minister discussed India’s rapidly growing private space sector, new technologies, investment, youth participation and the wider applications of space technology. Suhora Technologies was also among the companies that participated in this important interaction.

During the interaction, the heads of space startups shared their views on the rapid progress of India’s private space sector and its future potential. They said that opening up the space sector to private participation has created several new opportunities for the industry. The startup leaders also expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister for the government’s support and the growing collaboration among industries.

The meeting was attended by representatives of space startups working in areas such as rockets and reusable semi-cryogenic launch vehicles, avionics, satellites, advanced propulsion systems, space and defence intelligence, space debris removal and artificial intelligence-based weather and climate intelligence.

Suhora Technologies Calls Interaction with PM Modi an Honour

Suhora Technologies Co-Founder and CEO Krishanu Acharya
described the interaction with the Prime Minister as an important opportunity for the company. He said, “The Prime Minister’s continued engagement with India’s space startups reflects the growing capabilities and future potential of the country’s private space ecosystem.”

Krishanu Acharya said, “It was an honour for Suhora to be part of today’s interaction with the Hon’ble Prime Minister. His continued engagement with India’s space startups is a powerful reminder of how far the private space ecosystem has come and how much further it can go.”

He further said that the interaction with the Prime Minister validates the work being done by Suhora Technologies in the areas of satellite data and geospatial intelligence. The company is continuing to work on important solutions for agriculture, infrastructure and disaster management from India, while also focusing on developing its technology and services for the global market.

Acharya expressed gratitude for the government’s continued support and said that Suhora Technologies is excited to continue contributing towards making India a global space technology hub.

PM Modi Emphasises Exploring New Applications of Space Technology

The Prime Minister called upon space companies to explore new applications of their technologies and develop solutions that can make people’s lives easier. He said that the use of space technology should not remain limited to the space sector but should also be connected with agriculture, the environment, disaster management and other areas of social development.

The Prime Minister also emphasised greater collaboration between companies working in the space sector and those operating in other sectors. He said that companies working on space debris could collaborate with environmental organisations to expand the applications of their technology. Similarly, space technology companies working in agriculture could collaborate with agricultural universities and relevant departments to help farmers make better-informed decisions and improve productivity.

Focus on Making India a Global Space Technology Hub

The Prime Minister called for creating a strong ecosystem and business environment that would ensure that whenever the world thinks about space, India becomes a key destination. He said that the Indian space sector has the potential to attract global talent, companies and investment.

He said that several countries are either unable or unwilling to invest in the space sector. In such a situation, India has a major opportunity to rapidly strengthen its position in the global space sector.

Focus on Connecting Youth with Space Technology

The Prime Minister suggested increasing collaboration between space startups and Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) to encourage curiosity and interest in the space sector among young people. He said that such initiatives can help develop an interest in space science, technology and innovation among children and young people from an early age.

The initiative can play an important role in creating a stronger connection between education and space technology, as it can introduce students to new technologies and career opportunities in the space sector at the school level itself.

20 Space Startups Participate in the Interaction

The interaction with the Prime Minister was attended by founders and CEOs of 20 space startups, including Skyroot Aerospace, Agnikul Cosmos, Pixxel, Dhruva Space, GalaxEye, PierSight, Bellatrix Aerospace, Digantara, SatSure, Suhora Technologies, Manastu Space, Astrobee, TechMe2Space, VyomIC, Cosmoserve Space, OrbitAID Aerospace, SkyServe (Hyspace), Serendipity Space, Vassar Labs and Misteo.

The Prime Minister’s interaction highlights the government’s focus on the growing expansion of India’s private space sector, the development of new technologies and connecting young people with this emerging field. Suhora Technologies’ participation also highlights the growing role of Indian space technology startups in areas such as satellite data and geospatial intelligence.
