Navi Limited has announced a $100 million investment from Prosus, marking its first institutional capital raise. The investment is considered an important step in Navi’s efforts to expand its technology-driven financial services business and build one of India’s leading technology-led financial institutions. The transaction is subject to the required regulatory approvals.
According to the company, Prosus investment is aligned with its long-term strategy of backing leading technology platforms in India. The investment also reflects Prosus confidence in Navi’s business, execution capabilities and long-term ambition to build a leading technology-driven financial services institution.
The investment further strengthens the relationship between Sachin Bansal and Naspers and the Prosus Group, which spans more than a decade. Sachin Bansal, Founder and Executive Chairman of Navi Group, said the investment is a strong endorsement of the institution being built at Navi. He added that the company looks forward to benefiting from Prosus’s global perspective, long-term approach and experience in scaling technology businesses.
Ashutosh Sharma, Head of Prosus India Investments and M&A, said Navi demonstrates several qualities that Prosus looks for in its investments, including a large base of loyal users, a platform model with multiple business lines, a technology-first approach and a strong focus on customer experience. He added that Navi has executed well over the past 12 months despite a challenging macroeconomic environment.
Navi recorded strong operating performance across its businesses in FY26. Navi UPI continued to be one of India’s fastest-growing payments platforms and retained its position as the country’s fourth-largest UPI app. Meanwhile, Navi Finserv assets under management (AUM) crossed 130 billion.
The company also reported that improved unit economics and increasing operating leverage helped Navi Group achieve consolidated profitability in Q4 FY26. According to Navi, the milestone reflects the strength of its technology-led business model and its focus on building a sustainable financial services institution for the long term.
