The proposed round values the company at around INR 500 crore (approximately USD 53 million), although the final funding amount and valuation may change as discussions progress. Nuuk and the investors did not respond to queries.
The proposed funding round is larger than Nuuk’s USD 6.6 million Series A round, which it closed in August 2025 following a USD 2 million extension from existing investors Vertex Ventures SEA and Good Capital.
Nuuk's Founding and Business Model
Founded in 2023 by Gazal Kalra, co-founder of Rivigo, and Shalabh Gupta, former chief growth officer at Noise, Nuuk focuses on design-led home and kitchen appliances. The brand aims to build a presence in India's growing home appliances market.
Revenue Growth and Financial Performance
According to Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) filings, Nuuk's operating revenue increased to INR 16 crore in FY25, compared with INR 31.8 lakh in FY24. FY25 marked the company's first full year of operations. However, its net loss also widened to INR 39 lakh from INR 7 lakh in the previous financial year.
Competition in the Home Appliances Market
Nuuk competes with established brands such as Philips, Bajaj, Atomberg, and Lifelong in India's home appliances segment. The proposed funding round comes amid continued investor interest in appliance startups and the growing D2C consumer appliances market.
