Ola Electric has launched its new S1 X+ electric scooter with a 5.2 kWh battery pack, priced at an introductory 1,29,999, valid until April 15, 2026. The launch is part of the company’s aggressive expansion strategy in the electric mobility space.
The new model is powered by Ola Electric’s in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell technology, now being scaled for mass-market applications. This move strengthens the company’s vertically integrated battery and vehicle platform strategy.
According to the company, the S1 X+ is designed to balance performance, range, and scalability while accelerating technology adoption among customers. It aims to enhance innovation speed and large-scale deployment of advanced EV technology.
The scooter is equipped with an 11 kW mid-drive motor and integrated motor control unit, offering a claimed 320 km (IDC) range and a top speed of 125 km/h. It also features brake-by-wire technology and a front disc brake system.
Ola Electric said the new variant targets the mid-price segment to make long-range electric scooters more accessible. The company currently operates a broad EV portfolio, including the S1 series and Roadster X motorcycles, and manufactures vehicles at its Tamil Nadu facility with battery development work centered in Bengaluru.
