Phoenix Palladium has announced the launch of the Phoenix HSBC Racquet Club (PHRC), India’s largest integrated rooftop racquet sports destination, developed in strategic partnership with PadelPark India. Located atop the landmark Phoenix Palladium mall in Lower Parel, the new facility positions racquet sports at the intersection of sport, lifestyle, and community engagement.
Spread across the mall’s rooftop, the 12-court destination is the first of its kind in India to host padel and pickleball at this scale in an elevated, open-air setting. The facility comprises six padel courts designed and manufactured in Spain and six pickleball courts, all built to meet international tournament standards. Offering panoramic views of Mumbai’s skyline, PHRC addresses the growing demand for premium court access in South Mumbai while catering to players across skill levels.
The club is anchored by a curated brand ecosystem that integrates sport with fashion, wellness, and experiential retail. HSBC serves as the title sponsor, while Lacoste brings its global racquet sports heritage to the venue. Superdry Sport makes its debut in a high-performance urban environment, while Tira, Victoria’s Secret, and Fast&Up contribute through immersive activations spanning beauty, lifestyle, and sports nutrition. Collectively, these partnerships position PHRC as a lifestyle-led destination rather than a standalone sports facility.
Beyond sport, Phoenix HSBC Racquet Club is designed as a social and community hub. Its location within Phoenix Palladium—Mumbai’s largest luxury shopping and lifestyle destination—provides direct access to premium retail, dining, and entertainment offerings. The adjacent St. Regis hotel further enhances the hospitality experience. Within the club, a curated café and food offering complements on-court activity, while Gourmet Village, located a level below, brings together more than 25 restaurants serving global cuisines, extending the pre- and post-game experience.
Through its partnership with PadelPark India, PHRC will host the Indian Padel Tour, competitive leagues, and structured coaching programs delivered via the Indian Padel Academy. The initiative aims to strengthen the sport’s ecosystem while fostering regular community engagement.
Commenting on the launch, Amit Dabriwala, Director, Bellona Hospitality, said the project brings together global-standard infrastructure, thoughtful design, and a lifestyle-first approach to sport, while addressing long-standing challenges around court accessibility in the city.
Nikhil Sachdev, Co-Founder of PadelPark India, said the club represents a significant step in embedding padel into everyday urban life, creating a platform for competitive play, tournaments, and community-led events aligned with global standards.
With its rooftop setting, international-grade facilities, and integrated lifestyle offering, Phoenix HSBC Racquet Club sets a new benchmark for racquet sports destinations in India, redefining how sport, leisure, and community coexist in dense urban environments.
