Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer Oben Electric has claimed the No. 1 position among India electric motorcycle brands in September 2026, with 1,417 electric motorcycle registrations. According to the company, the figures are based on September 2026 Vahan data. The milestone also marks Oben Electric highest-ever monthly sales.
The company said the strong performance was driven by the market response to its Rorr Evo electric motorcycle. Designed for Indian riders, the motorcycle focuses on performance, design, technology, range and everyday usability. Oben Electric said the Rorr Evo has been developed as a motorcycle first, with an electric powertrain.
Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO, Oben Electric, said becoming India’s No. 1 selling electric motorcycle brand is a significant milestone for the company. She added that the response to Rorr Evo shows that riders are increasingly willing to adopt electric motorcycles when the product meets their expectations in terms of performance and everyday usability.
The company has also recently rolled out its 10,000th electric motorcycle from its manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. According to Oben Electric, the milestone reflects its growing production scale as it expands the Rorr Evo across markets. The company develops and manufactures key EV technologies in-house, including LFP batteries, motors, VCUs, chargers and proprietary software.
Oben Electric operates a 3.5-acre manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with an annual production capacity of 1 lakh motorcycles. The company also has more than 150 showrooms and Oben Care service centres across over 90 cities in 18 states. The network supports sales, test rides, deliveries and after-sales services for its growing customer base.
