Roy Gori appointed as New Senior Advisor at KKR

Global investment firm KKR has announced the appointment of Roy Gori, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife, as a Senior Advisor to the firm. Gori will advise KKR on strategic opportunities across global financial services and insurance with a focus on Asia Pacific and international markets, along with strategic counsel across insurance, wealth management, banking, distribution and related financial services platforms.

In this role he will work closely with KKR’s senior leadership team and investment professionals, providing strategic insight on market structure, regulatory environments, distribution models, partnerships and international opportunities across global financial services.

Gori brings experience spanning insurance, wealth management, and retail financial services across Asia Pacific, North America and globally. In his earlier role as President and CEO of Manulife from 2017 until his retirement in 2025, he led insurance and asset management firms. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as President and CEO of Manulife Asia, where he oversaw operations across 12 markets. He began his career at Citibank in 1989, as a lead of Asia Pacific retail business, including its insurance and wealth management operations.
