Spinny and JSW MG Join Hands for Pre-Owned EV Market

Used car platform Spinny has partnered with JSW MG Motor India to build a structured and trusted ecosystem for pre-owned electric vehicles (EVs) in India. The collaboration aims to address key concerns in the used EV market, including battery health, residual value transparency, and technical diagnostics, helping buyers and sellers make informed decisions.

As part of the partnership, Spinny will introduce specialized EV evaluation protocols across its network with technical support from JSW MG Motor India. The process will include standardized battery health assessments and certification, ensuring greater transparency in vehicle valuation. The program will initially be rolled out in major cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chandigarh, and Coimbatore.

Customers will be able to buy and sell certified pre-owned MG Comet EV, MG Windsor EV, and MG ZS EV through Spinny's digital platform and car hubs. Vehicles sold under the program will undergo a 200-point inspection, come with OEM warranty continuity, fixed pricing, and a five-day money-back guarantee. In addition, all vehicles will be refurbished at Spinny's Integrated Restoration Centres using specialized EV diagnostic tools and battery restoration technologies.

Speaking on the partnership, Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, said that as the company continues to expand its new energy vehicle portfolio in India, building a reliable pre-owned EV ecosystem is essential for the long-term growth of electric mobility.
