Used-car platform Spinny has partnered with the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) at the 8th Auto Retail Conclave 2026 in New Delhi. The conclave brought together industry stakeholders to discuss changes in auto retail, vehicle exchange and the broader mobility ecosystem.
Held under the theme ‘Bharat in the Driver’s Seat – Inclusive Mobility, Inspired Growth’, the event was attended by policymakers, automotive executives, dealers and ecosystem partners. Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H D Kumaraswamy and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Mahmood Ahmed, were among the speakers.
Gurveen Bedi, Senior Vice President, Spinny, highlighted the role of vehicle exchange in auto retail and the need to provide better value to customers selling their used cars. She said that helping consumers secure better value for their used vehicles benefits the wider auto retail ecosystem.
According to Spinny, the company currently buys and sells around 15,000 cars every month and works with new- and used-car dealerships as well as OEMs. Its operations span vehicle buying and selling, refurbishment, retail, auctions and servicing.
Bedi also highlighted opportunities for dealerships to improve the economics of their used-car operations. Under Spinny’s exclusive partnership model, the company said dealerships can unlock up to 3% additional value on a vehicle by addressing costs and operational leakages across the used-car lifecycle.
Spinny currently works with OEMs including Tata Motors, Nissan, Kia and Tesla and plans to add more brands to its vehicle exchange ecosystem.
The conclave also focused on the growth of electric mobility and the supporting ecosystem required for wider EV adoption. Participants highlighted the need for greater consistency in EV policies across states, along with easier access to charging infrastructure, electricity and related approvals.
Kumaraswamy emphasised the importance of keeping customers at the centre of the evolving mobility landscape, while Mahmood Ahmed highlighted India's progress in vehicle standards and the need for dealerships to adapt to a more integrated customer experience.
FADA President Sai Giridhar Raj Kumar said the next decade would bring changes in automobile retail driven by technology, consumer expectations, business models and mobility solutions. He added that dealerships would continue to serve as an important link between automakers and consumers.
The partnership with FADA is part of Spinny efforts to collaborate with dealerships and OEMs to strengthen its vehicle exchange proposition and used-car operations.
