Tata Power announced that its subsidiary Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Ltd (TPEVCSL) has expanded its ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging network in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
Under this partnership, ultra-fast EV charging stations have been installed at the 63rd and 69th milestones on the Haryana stretch of the expressway. A 240 kW ultra-fast charging station with four charging guns has been set up at the 63rd milestone for vehicles travelling from Delhi.
In addition, another charging station has been installed at the 69th milestone on the opposite carriageway to facilitate EV users travelling in the reverse direction. The stations are designed to support multiple vehicles simultaneously, catering to both personal and commercial EV users.
Tata Power said that under its EZ Charge network, it has deployed over 2 lakh home chargers, more than 6,700 public, semi-public, and fleet charging points, and over 1,200 e-bus charging points across more than 690 cities and towns in India.
The company added that Tata Power EZ Charge has over 5 lakh registered customers. These charging stations are strategically installed across highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, bus depots, commercial vehicle depots, and residential complexes to ensure wider accessibility and convenience for EV users.
