Supported by continued growth in its General and Specialised Staffing businesses, expansion of its enterprise client base & improved operational efficiency. During the quarter, the company added 127 new enterprise client logos, reported 6% year-on-year revenue growth and successfully completed its ₹238 crore share buyback programme, despite relatively softer hiring demand in the General Staffing segment.

According to the company's Q1FY27 results, total revenue grew 6% year-on-year and 4% sequentially, supported by net associate additions across its staffing businesses. Profit Before Tax (PBT) and Profit After Tax (PAT) registered 38% year-on-year growth, although quarter-on-quarter profitability was impacted by seasonal trends in the EdTech business within HR Services and the annual employee appraisal cycle.
127 New Enterprise Clients Reflect Strong Business Momentum
During the quarter, TeamLease added 127 new enterprise client logos across its businesses, reflecting continued demand for its workforce solutions. The company also recorded a net addition of more than 700 associates, including 4,130 new associates across its General and Specialised Staffing segments. These additions were partially offset by the planned exit of 5,500 Degree Apprenticeship trainees, while the year-on-year decline in overall headcount was primarily attributed to the transfer of nearly 23,000 associates by a large NBFC client to its own payroll in FY26 following regulatory requirements.
TeamLease also completed its ₹238 crore share buyback programme, repurchasing 14.87 lakh equity shares at ₹1,600 per share, representing 8.87% of its paid-up equity capital. Following the completion of the buyback, the company maintained a net free cash position of ₹350 crore, along with outstanding TDS receivables of approximately ₹145 crore, reflecting a healthy balance sheet.
Operational Efficiency Supports Business EBITDA Growth
Commenting on the quarterly performance, Suparna Mitra, Managing Director and CEO, TeamLease Services, said that the company's Business EBITDA improved during the quarter, supported by strong performance in GCC Specialised Staffing and continued operational efficiency. She noted that while hiring trends remained relatively softer in the General Staffing business, the company witnessed encouraging momentum in new client additions and hiring productivity.
Mitra added that TeamLease remains focused on strengthening its specialised staffing capabilities and delivering operational excellence amid evolving market conditions.
