Aavishkaar Capital has invested USD 10 million in Bengaluru-based startup Gnani.ai as part of its Series B funding round, reinforcing its focus on deep-technology solutions aimed at large-scale impact.
Founded in 2016 by Ganesh Gopalan and Ananth Nagaraj, Gnani.ai builds voice-based artificial intelligence systems. The company develops its entire technology stack in-house, including tools for speech recognition, voice synthesis, and a speech-to-speech model. Its platform, Inya, offers services such as automated customer support, voice authentication, and call quality analysis.
Gnani.ai currently serves more than 200 enterprise clients across sectors like banking, insurance, telecom, automotive, and government. The company processes millions of calls daily and supports interactions in over 12 languages. It is also among a small group selected under the Government of India’s AI Mission to work on foundational AI systems.
The new funding is expected to support the company’s global expansion plans and further development of its generative AI capabilities. It will also be used to enhance multilingual solutions tailored to different industries and to strengthen its engineering and product teams.
Aavishkaar Capital’s investment adds to its growing portfolio in areas such as deep-tech, climate-tech, and applied science.
