Bijliride Launches Women’s Mobility Empowerment Programme in Hyderabad
Bijliride, in partnership with the Telangana Women Safety Wing, trained over 500 women for driving-based livelihoods in Hyderabad.

In collaboration with the Telangana Women Safety Wing under the Government of Telangana, Bijliride has launched a Women’s Day initiative to promote mobility-based livelihoods for women in Hyderabad. The programme, which began in early February, has trained and supported over 500 women to pursue driving-based roles, including operating two-wheeler taxis and electric autos.

Participants received structured support through community outreach, skill development, licensing assistance, and professional onboarding, enabling them to access new income opportunities within the city’s growing electric mobility ecosystem. The initiative aims to enhance women’s safety, dignity, and economic independence while encouraging sustainable urban transport adoption.

Commenting on the initiative, Vishal Vikram, Chief Marketing Officer, Bijliride said the programme reflects the company’s belief that mobility can drive meaningful social and economic change, adding that the collaboration brings together empowerment, sustainability, and safety to create long-term impact.

The partnership operates as a non-financial, outcome-driven engagement, combining institutional support with electric mobility expertise to strengthen women’s participation in Telangana’s evolving mobility sector.
