Electric mobility platform Bijliride has partnered with Indofast Energy, a joint venture between IndianOil Corporation Limited and SUN Mobility, to accelerate its B2C expansion and address key infrastructure challenges in the EV rental segment.
Leveraging Indofast Energy’s extensive network of over 1,484 battery swap stations across 23 cities—and an average of more than 3.5 million monthly swaps—the collaboration aims to deliver a faster, more reliable, and scalable electric mobility experience.
The partnership focuses on solving critical issues such as charging downtime, vehicle availability, and rider convenience. With integrated battery-swapping technology, users will be able to replace depleted batteries within minutes, ensuring higher uptime and uninterrupted ride continuity.
Hyderabad has been selected as the launch market, with plans to expand into Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai over the next 12–18 months. In the initial phase, Bijliride will deploy several hundred electric two-wheelers, with further fleet expansion aligned to demand.
The integration is expected to significantly improve fleet efficiency, enhance utilization rates, and enable faster turnaround during peak hours—ultimately strengthening unit economics.
Customers can access Bijliride’s services through its mobile app, which offers daily and weekly rentals, subscription plans for gig workers, and long-term options for flexible, ownership-free mobility.
Commenting on the partnership, Shivam Sisodiya, CEO & Co-Founder of Bijliride, said the collaboration is focused on making electric mobility more practical and accessible by reducing downtime and improving vehicle availability, thereby accelerating the company’s B2C growth.
By combining EV rentals with a robust battery-swapping network, the partnership is set to strengthen Bijliride’s position in India’s EV ecosystem and support faster adoption of electric mobility nationwide.
