CARPL.ai, an India-based radiology AI marketplace and enterprise platform, has raised USD 10 mn in a Series A funding round led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) with participation from Stellaris Venture Partners and other investors.
The funding will be used to accelerate product development, expand CARPL.ai’s global partner ecosystem and support commercial growth across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and emerging markets.
CARPL.ai provides healthcare providers with access to more than 300 radiology AI applications from 100+ partners through a single integration. The platform also enables organizations to build, test, deploy and monitor AI across clinical workflows while remaining vendor-neutral and infrastructure-agnostic.
The company says it is used by healthcare organizations worldwide, including four of the world’s top five private radiology groups, and by governments in Brazil, India, Singapore, Spain and the UAE.
Medical imaging accounts for over 80% of healthcare data, while imaging demand continues to outpace radiologist capacity. Despite more than 1,000 FDA-cleared radiology AI applications being available, adoption remains fragmented due to the complexity of integrating and managing multiple AI tools.
Beyond radiology, CARPL.ai plans to expand its platform into pathology, genomics and general medicine, aiming to become an AI integration and deployment layer for healthcare organizations.
Dr Vidur Mahajan, Chief Executive Officer of CARPL.ai, said: “Our mission is to ensure that clinicians can confidently utilize the absolute best AI technology available for their patients. Over the past few years, we have built the world’s largest radiology AI marketplace, integrated deeply with leading enterprise PACS providers and earned the trust of some of the largest healthcare enterprises across the globe, who rely on us as their partner in their AI and automation journeys. We are privileged to have the International Finance Corporation as a partner as we grow across the world.”
“We will soon move beyond medical imaging into the domains of pathology, genomics and general medicine and one day, if there is a robotic surgeon somewhere using AI to perform surgery, we hope that it will be running through CARPL.”
Farid Fezoua, Global Director for Private Equity and Venture Capital, International Finance Corporation, said: “Expanding access to high-quality diagnostics in emerging markets is one of the most pressing priorities in global healthcare and AI is becoming a critical part of the solution. CARPL.ai is building the digital infrastructure that enables healthcare providers to adopt AI at scale, improving diagnostic quality and expanding access to care. IFC is proud to support a company that combines world-class innovation with India’s deep technology talent, creating high-skilled jobs while addressing a critical global healthcare need. This investment reflects World Bank Group’s commitment to advancing innovation, strengthening digital health ecosystems and ensuring the benefits of AI reach patients in emerging markets and underserved communities worldwide.”
Alok Goyal, Partner, Stellaris Venture Partners, said: “We are excited to see CARPL’s remarkable journey since our initial investment and to watch our original thesis play out so strongly. Over the past few years, the team has executed exceptionally well, earning the trust of leading healthcare institutions worldwide, building deep partnerships with leading PACS providers and enabling millions of patient scans through its platform. This is a testament to the vision, ambition and execution of Dr. Vidur Mahajan and his team and we’re excited to continue supporting CARPL as it builds the foundational infrastructure for AI-powered healthcare globally.”
