Coulomb Litech Raises 20 Crore to Boost EV Battery Manufacturing
Coulomb Litech has raised ₹20 crore in seed funding to expand manufacturing and scale its fast-charging battery systems for medium and heavy electric vehicles.

Coulomb Litech, an electric vehicle battery technology startup, has raised ₹20 crore in a seed funding round to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and expand its presence in India’s EV ecosystem. Founded in 2020 by Ameya Sathe and Darshil Dharod, alumni of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, the company develops fast-charging, long-life battery systems for medium and heavy electric vehicles.

The startup’s battery platforms operate across a voltage range of 51V to 700V, with capacities of up to 80 kWh. Its solutions are designed for applications such as material-handling equipment, electric tractors, construction machinery, electric three-wheelers, and energy storage systems. The company offers modular, medium-voltage, and high-voltage battery platforms that are already deployed in commercial and pilot projects with OEMs across India.

A key strength of the company is its in-house technology stack, which includes hardware, software, and proprietary algorithms. It has also developed its own Battery Management Systems (BMS), liquid cooling technology, CCS charging systems, and IoT-enabled analytics platforms, enabling fast charging while extending battery life for commercial EV users.

The newly raised capital will be used to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Navi Mumbai. The company also plans to invest in research and development, scale pilot programs in heavy EV segments, and strengthen partnerships with OEMs and fleet operators.

With a focus on localisation, product reliability, and performance under demanding conditions, the startup aims to support the electrification of medium and heavy-duty vehicles and position itself as a key battery technology partner for commercial EV manufacturers in India.
