Elektrobit and ETAS Launch Integrated ADAS Software Platform
Elektrobit and ETAS have introduced a Linux-based integrated software foundation for ADAS, aimed at simplifying and securing vehicle software integration.

Elektrobit and ETAS have launched a fully integrated software foundation for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2026 held in Yokohama. The companies showcased their joint automotive software solution, which combines Elektrobit’s EB corbos Linux for Safety Applications platform with the Vehicle Software Platform Suite developed by ETAS.

The newly introduced software foundation is designed to simplify integration processes for customers and reduce engineering complexities. According to the companies, the pre integrated setup delivers operating system and middleware components in a coordinated environment, minimizing the risks associated with sourcing and integrating separate software modules. The platform is based on a safety enabled Linux environment, offering an open and scalable alternative to traditional proprietary automotive operating systems.

Automakers and Tier 1 suppliers will be able to use the combined solution for early production evaluations and pilot testing within existing vehicle programs. Representatives from ETAS stated that the platform enables automotive companies to achieve ASIL-B safety compliance in Linux based systems while maintaining highly efficient data handling capabilities.

Both companies believe the collaboration will provide a production ready and scalable framework for the growing software defined vehicle (SDV) ecosystem. With rising demand for ADAS and connected vehicle technologies across the automotive industry, the new platform is expected to help manufacturers adopt safer, more flexible, and modern software architectures.

Elektrobit operates as an independently managed subsidiary of AUMOVIO and specializes in automotive software solutions. Meanwhile, ETAS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, focused on automotive middleware, testing solutions, and engineering consulting services.
