NavPrakriti has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Kharagpur to boost innovation, skill development, and technological advancement in India’s rapidly growing battery recycling and critical minerals ecosystem.
The partnership will include student internship programs, joint research projects, skill development initiatives, and technology consulting, with hands-on training at NavPrakriti’s advanced facilities, including its Serampore lithium-ion battery recycling plant.
Research under the collaboration will focus on battery material recovery, hydrometallurgical refining, and extraction of critical minerals such as cobalt, nickel, and lithium, supporting India’s National Critical Mineral Mission.
NavPrakriti Co-Founder Akhilesh Bagaria said the collaboration will help train the next generation of engineers and accelerate innovation in battery recycling technologies, while Co-Founder Avnish Bagaria emphasized that the partnership will strengthen India’s energy self-reliance and sustainable development goals.
