Ferrari Enters EV Era with High-Performance Luce
Ferrari has unveiled the all-electric ‘Luce’, its first EV production model featuring 1,050hp power, 530km range and advanced 800V architecture.

Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has officially unveiled its first fully electric production car, the ‘Luce’, marking a major step in the company’s transition toward electric mobility. Revealed in Rome, the new model represents Ferrari’s broader “multi-energy strategy” as it expands beyond conventional petrol and hybrid powertrains.

The new Ferrari Luce is built on a dedicated EV platform and features four independently controlled electric motors, one mounted at each wheel. Together, the setup delivers a combined output of 1,050hp. Ferrari claims the electric supercar can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while achieving a top speed of over 310 km/h. The company has also announced an estimated driving range of more than 530 km on a single charge.

The Luce uses an advanced 800V electrical architecture paired with a 122kWh battery pack. According to Ferrari, the EV supports up to 350kW DC fast charging, enabling nearly 70kWh of battery capacity to be replenished in around 20 minutes under suitable charging conditions. The automaker has also introduced an eight-year warranty for electric powertrain components along with a seven-year maintenance programme.

Ferrari says the Luce introduces several technological firsts for the brand, including an electric all-wheel-drive system, four-wheel steering, active suspension, torque vectoring and regenerative braking technologies developed specifically for the new EV architecture. Unlike Ferrari’s traditional two-seat sports cars, the Luce adopts a five-seat configuration with four doors, made possible by the packaging flexibility of the electric platform.

For the design of the vehicle, Ferrari collaborated with design collective LoveFrom, led by renowned designers Jony Ive and Marc Newson. The exterior features a shell-inspired glasshouse design, while the cabin combines physical controls with advanced digital interfaces, including OLED displays and a 21-speaker premium audio system.

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna said, “Ferrari Luce was born from the challenge of redefining electrification for Ferrari. With Luce, we have not only innovated in powertrains but also introduced an entirely new segment within our range.”
