Addressing the nation, the Prime Minister cited a traditional saying and said that “consistent effort is essential to gain knowledge.” He explained that when students actively participate themselves, their ability to learn improves significantly.
PM Modi highlighted a unique initiative from Bengaluru. He said that the Prayog Institute of Education Research is working to promote science education among school students. The institute focuses on research-based learning and has launched a programme called ‘Anveshan’.
This programme gives students from Classes 9 to 12 the opportunity to experiment and innovate in subjects like chemistry, earth science, and wellness. According to the Prime Minister, this initiative provides students with research exposure and also enables them to publish their projects.

Referring to Pareeksha Pe Charcha, PM Modi said that many students feel afraid of science as a subject. He explained that initiatives like ‘Anveshan’ help reduce this fear, as students learn through hands-on experiments, which increases their curiosity and interest.
Praising the efforts of the Prayog team, the Prime Minister said that such initiatives play a very important role in developing a scientific temper among young minds. He expressed hope that hands-on learning would inspire many students to pursue careers in science and some may even go on to become leading scientists in the future.
