Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, India’s fastest-growing mid-scale and premium hospitality group, has announced the signing of a new hotel in Nepal—Lemon Tree Hotel, Bandipur—marking another milestone in its international expansion.
The upcoming property will be operated by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited. With this addition, the company continues to strengthen its footprint in Nepal, targeting both business and leisure travellers with its signature fresh and value-driven hospitality.
Situated in Bandipur, a heritage hill town in Nepal’s Tanahun District, the hotel is set amid a destination often described as a “living museum” for its preserved Newari architecture, cobblestone streets and rich cultural legacy. Historically a key stop on the India–Tibet trade route, Bandipur today is known for its serene ambience and panoramic vistas.
Accessed via a 1,700-metre cable car ride, the hotel will be the only property located at the summit, standing at an elevation of 1,030 metres. Once operational, it will offer sweeping views of the Himalayan ranges and the Marsyangdi Valley. Guests will also have easy access to local attractions such as the Khadka Devi Temple—renowned for housing a sacred sword believed to embody the goddess—as well as hiking trails, caves and other nature-led experiences within a pedestrian-friendly zone.
Lemon Tree Hotel, Bandipur, Nepal will feature 80 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant and bar, banquet and meeting facilities, and a range of recreational amenities including a swimming pool, spa and fitness centre.
Conveniently positioned between Kathmandu and Pokhara in Nepal’s Gandaki Province, the town is approximately 145 kilometres from Tribhuvan International Airport and about 75 kilometres from Pokhara International Airport, with good connectivity by road and public transport.
Commenting on the signing, Mr. Vilas Pawar, CEO – Managed & Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said the new property reinforces the group’s commitment to Nepal. He noted that the Bandipur hotel complements the company’s existing portfolio of two operational hotels and three upcoming projects in the country, while underscoring its broader strategy to deliver distinctive hospitality experiences across key international markets.
