The partnership will focus on the collection, exchange and recycling of end-of-life EV batteries, while strengthening battery traceability, EPR compliance and India’s circular EV ecosystem.

Battery circularity and resource recovery company PeakAmp has signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with electric mobility startup Curve Electric. The partnership aims to strengthen the management of end-of-life batteries generated through Curve Electric’s operations and establish a structured and compliant battery circularity ecosystem for India’s electric mobility sector.

Based in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, Curve Electric is promoting sustainable mobility through its e-bike rental and sales platform. Under the agreement, PeakAmp will manage the collection, reverse logistics and environmentally responsible recycling of end-of-life batteries generated through Curve Electric’s operations.

PeakAmp will also serve as Curve Electric’s official battery exchange partner. Under the partnership, customers will be able to replace used e-bike batteries through a structured buyback programme, helping make the battery replacement process more convenient and organised.

In addition, PeakAmp will support Curve Electric in meeting its ESG and regulatory requirements. The company will facilitate recycling certificates and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) documentation, ensuring end-to-end battery traceability and strengthening compliance with the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022.

Aditya Sudhanshu, Co-Founder and COO, PeakAmp, said that responsible battery management must grow alongside EV adoption. He added that the partnership with Curve Electric will help collect and recycle end-of-life batteries and bring them back into the circular economy, while also making battery replacement more convenient for customers.

Sheikh Yameen, CEO and Co-Founder, Curve Electric, said the partnership is more than a recycling agreement and represents a strategic investment in the future of sustainable mobility. As the company expands its fleet and retail network across India, PeakAmp is expected to play an important role in ensuring battery traceability, regulatory compliance and responsible recovery.

The partnership reflects the growing focus on integrating circular economy principles into India electric mobility ecosystem. By combining battery exchange with compliant recycling and ESG support, the collaboration aims to improve battery traceability, maximise resource recovery and reduce the flow of battery waste into informal recycling channels.
