Suzuki Motor Corporation has announced that it will begin sales of its new e SKY mini electric passenger vehicle in Japan from November 16, 2026. The model marks Suzuki’s entry into Japan passenger Kei-EV segment and has been developed for urban customers looking to shift from internal combustion engine vehicles to electric mobility.
The Suzuki e SKY is built on the company dedicated HEARTECT-e EV platform. It features an integrated eAxle along with a regenerative braking system. According to the company, these technologies are designed to improve the electric driving experience while enhancing energy efficiency.
The Suzuki e SKY gets a 26 kWh LFP battery pack. The company claims that the electric Kei car can deliver a driving range of up to 310 km on a single charge under Japan’s WLTC testing standard.
The final dimensions of the e SKY have not yet been revealed. However, the Vision e SKY concept, on which the production model is based, was showcased at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. The concept measured 3,395 mm in length, 1,475 mm in width and 1,625 mm in height.
Suzuki said the new e SKY has a minimum turning radius of 4.4 metres. This is expected to make the electric car easier to manoeuvre on narrow urban roads and in tight parking spaces.
