TCS Launches AI-Powered Engineering Lab in Bengaluru with NVIDIA
Bengaluru: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched the TCS Autonomous Engineering Lab Powered by NVIDIA at its Global Axis campus in Bengaluru.

The dedicated physical AI lab aims to accelerate the development of AI-powered industrial and mobility solutions and enable their faster deployment in real-world environments.

The lab will allow enterprises to design, test and validate AI-powered applications before deploying them in live operational settings. Built on NVIDIA's AI infrastructure, the facility will help businesses scale AI solutions from pilot projects to full-scale implementation across industries such as automotive, manufacturing and industrial engineering.

Boosting AI Skills Development and Industry Learning

According to TCS, the lab combines the company's Industrial Autonomy & Engineering (IA&E) expertise with NVIDIA's advanced AI and high-performance computing technologies. This will enable organisations to rapidly develop prototypes, conduct digital simulations and build intelligent industrial systems.

Sreenivasa Chakravarti, Global Head and Vice President, Industrial Autonomy & Engineering, TCS, said the new lab will further strengthen Bengaluru's position as a leading technology innovation hub.

He said, "Bengaluru has long been the engine of India's economy and technological innovation. By combining NVIDIA's powerful AI platform with TCS' Industrial Autonomy & Engineering capabilities, we have created a space where ideas can rapidly evolve into real-world solutions, shaping the future of mobility and industrial systems."

A Modern Platform for the Future of Engineering Education and AI Innovation

The lab will support enterprises in integrating AI into engineering and manufacturing operations, enabling software-defined products, intelligent factories and autonomous industrial systems. It will also provide a secure environment for testing and validating AI solutions before commercial deployment, helping organisations reduce implementation risks and accelerate time-to-market.

Alvin DaCosta, Vice President, AI Consulting Partners Organization, NVIDIA, said enterprises today require specialised AI infrastructure to bridge the gap between simulation and real-world implementation.

He said, "Through this collaboration, the TCS Industrial Autonomy & Engineering Lab leverages NVIDIA's full-stack AI platform to provide customers with a robust and scalable pathway for validating and implementing next-generation industrial solutions."

Advancing AI Training, Digital Simulation and Research

The lab showcases a range of AI-powered solutions, including TCS DriveSphere, a connected mobility platform for software-defined vehicles, AI-enabled autonomous driving, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), predictive maintenance, quality inspection, Agentic AI, Vision AI, as well as digital twin and simulation technologies for vehicles, factories and industrial operations.

TCS said the initiative further strengthens its long-standing collaboration with NVIDIA in artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and industry-specific digital solutions. The company believes the new lab will play a significant role in advancing joint capability development, enhancing customer engagement and creating the next generation of AI-powered industrial solutions.
