The St. Regis Goa Resort has announced the appointment of Arun Vishnu as its new General Manager. Vishnu brings more than 20 years of experience in the luxury hospitality sector and joins the resort following his recent role as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Pune, where he led operations and supported the hotel team during a transition period.
Before his tenure in Pune, Vishnu served as General Manager at an award-winning property within the MGallery portfolio in Phuket, part of the hospitality group Accor.
Over the course of his career, he has managed guest experience strategies and operational teams across several global hospitality brands, including Westin Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton, Park Hyatt, and JW Marriott Marquis. His international professional experience spans markets such as India, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Maldives, and Thailand.
Vishnu holds an MBA in International Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration. His professional experience includes managing large-scale hotel operations and leading flagship properties across multiple markets.
Earlier in his career, he served as Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Bangalore, where he oversaw operations during a period when the property recorded some of the highest guest satisfaction scores within the global Ritz-Carlton portfolio. During his leadership at the MGallery property in Phuket, the hotel reported a significant increase in Revenue Generation Index and received multiple “World Luxury Hotel Awards.”
Vishnu has also been involved in major hospitality projects, including the launch of The Westin Desaru Coast Resort, and served on a task force supporting the opening operations of JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa.
Vishnu said, “I am passionate about creating meaningful contributions to purpose-driven organizations and I now look forward to curating exceptional experiences and making unforgettable memories for our guests and associates at this iconic destination, The St. Regis Goa Resort.”
Industry observers note that leadership appointments at luxury resorts often reflect broader operational priorities, including strengthening guest experience frameworks, operational performance, and team development. Vishnu is known within the hospitality industry for focusing on organisational culture, operational discipline, and performance-driven management practices.
His appointment comes as luxury resorts across India continue to invest in experienced leadership teams to manage complex resort operations and evolving guest expectations in the high-end hospitality segment.
