Universal Ai University, known as India’s First AI University based in Mumbai has joined hands with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) for organising an AI Summer Residency 2026, a four day program in collaboration with MIT International Science & Technology Initiatives (MISTI). This program has been co-created with the AI experts from MIT Global Teaching Labs, focusing on practical applications of AI in India.
This program is designed for students from multiple disciplines, including management, design, liberal arts, music and technology.
The programme is built for training the participants with hands-on experience in artificial intelligence and its real-world applications. It will be conducted between May to July with sessions scheduled from 14-17 May, 4-7 June, and 9-12 July, and interested participants can apply from the official website. The curriculum of the program has been developed with MIT’s Global Teaching Labs framework ensuring global academic and industry relevance.
Under the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) initiative, this programme will include the contribution from the MIT Global Teaching Team alongside the AI experts from Universal Ai University, focusing on immersive and project-based learning for the participants. The participants will work on real-world problem statements and build functional AI prototypes as part of the program. The key highlight of the program is the dual certification for the participants after completion of the program, and credentials endorsed by an MIT (USA) affiliated body & Universal Ai University (India) mark the first time such a certification model is being introduced in India.
