VinFast has signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) with an initial group of more than 50 electric motorcycle dealer partners in India as part of its plans to expand its electric two-wheeler business. With this move, the company is taking steps to establish a dedicated distribution network across 15 states and territories in the country.
The agreements were signed at VinFast manufacturing complex in Hai Phong during an official working visit by representatives of Indian dealer partners. Under the agreements, VinFast and its retail partners will establish more than 50 electric motorcycle showrooms across 34 cities.
The company expansion will focus on key markets including Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. According to VinFast, this will be its first dedicated distribution network for electric two-wheelers in India.
The new network will complement VinFast existing electric passenger vehicle operations in the country. The company aims to expand its reach across different regions through its electric two-wheeler business and strengthen its presence in the Indian EV market.
Vo Thi Cam Tu, Managing Director, VinFast E-Scooters Overseas Market, said India is one of the most important markets in the company global growth strategy. She added that the partnership with dealer partners reflects VinFast long-term commitment to India and its confidence in the scale and potential of the Indian market.
