Electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem and urban mobility platform Bijliride has entered into a strategic partnership with Flipkart’s quick commerce service Flipkart Minutes to promote sustainable last-mile delivery operations across major Indian cities. Under the partnership, Bijliride will deploy electric two-wheelers in a phased manner across Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune.
According to the companies, the deployment will follow a demand-led operational model instead of a fixed fleet allocation. The number of electric vehicles will be scaled up or down based on delivery demand and rider requirements. The partnership also supports Flipkart’s efforts towards achieving 100% electric mobility by 2030 and aligns with its EV Assist initiative.
Bijliride currently has a deployed fleet of more than 6,000 electric vehicles across India. To address vehicle downtime in the quick commerce sector, the company provides commercial rental plans, battery swapping, doorstep battery delivery, fleet maintenance, 24/7 roadside assistance and telematics-based fleet management services.
Shivam Sisodiya, Founder and CEO, Bijliride, said that accelerating EV adoption in commercial logistics requires more than simply putting electric two-wheelers on the road. He added that a reliable operational ecosystem around the vehicles is essential, and the partnership with Flipkart Minutes aims to make green mobility practical, affordable and scalable.
A key focus of the partnership is to improve the earnings and unit economics of delivery partners. Fuel is a major recurring expense for riders using conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) two-wheelers. Through Bijliride’s asset-light rental model, riders can avoid high upfront vehicle costs while reducing their operating cost per kilometre.
To meet the expected increase in delivery demand during the festive shopping season, Bijliride and Flipkart Minutes have also introduced festive rental benefits and prioritised vehicle availability. The initiative is aimed at helping delivery partners maximise their on-road earning hours without disruptions caused by vehicle maintenance.
With quick commerce demand continuing to grow across urban centres, the partnership marks a step towards developing zero-emission and economically sustainable last-mile delivery networks across India’s major metropolitan markets.
