Emobi Manufactury Pvt. Ltd. has deployed 100 AKX Kyari electric scooters in Bengaluru, integrating Musashi India’s e-axle technology with Honda Power Pack Energy India’s (HEID) battery-swapping network. The initiative aims to reduce operating costs for last-mile delivery operators while creating new earning opportunities for riders.
The scooters have been manufactured for Tekinverse, which leases them to rider-partners through the Muvnw platform under a micro-fleet model. This setup eliminates the need for vehicle ownership and provides riders with maintenance, servicing, and roadside assistance, helping improve their overall income.
The AKX Kyari scooter offers an IDC range of 106 km, a top speed of 80 km/h, and accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 12 seconds. Powered by a 3.7 kW motor and dual 1.5 kWh swappable battery packs, it delivers performance comparable to a 125cc petrol scooter.
Battery-swapping services are provided through HEID’s Honda e:Swap network, based on a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. This approach lowers upfront vehicle costs, eliminates battery replacement concerns, and reduces downtime compared to conventional charging.
Emobi CEO Bharath Rao said the initiative is a step toward making electric mobility more accessible and profitable. Officials from Musashi India and HEID also highlighted the collaboration as a significant move to strengthen India’s EV ecosystem.
The deployment comes at a time when India’s logistics sector is under pressure to cut fuel costs and emissions. Emobi plans to expand this micro-fleet model to other cities, with Delhi NCR identified as the next key market.
