Jio-bp and the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) have partnered to develop EV charging infrastructure and services for more than 100 electric buses operating across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
Under the collaboration, Jio-bp pulse will establish a charging network across six clusters, with phased implementation planned over the coming months to support electric public transport operations. The agreement includes deployment of fast-charging infrastructure designed for high-frequency commercial fleet usage, aimed at reducing turnaround time and improving operational efficiency of electric buses.
The project is part of Jio-bp’s expanding EV charging network, which already includes over 6,000 charging points across India, further strengthening its presence in the commercial fleet electrification segment. Jio-bp CEO Akshay Wadhwa said the partnership aligns with the company’s strategy to build a scalable B2B EV charging ecosystem in India.
The initiative is also part of broader efforts to expand public EV infrastructure and promote electric mobility in mass transit systems across Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities.
