Continuing its expansion journey in India, Nespresso has inaugurated its first Pavilion in Bengaluru, further strengthening its presence in the country's premium coffee retail segment. Situated at Orion Mall, the new outlet marks the brand's debut in one of India's most mature and dynamic coffee markets, aligning with its strategy to deepen its footprint across major metropolitan centres.
Established in collaboration with Thakral Innovations Pvt. Ltd., the Pavilion adopts an open atrium-style retail concept designed to deliver an immersive and interactive coffee experience for consumers. The Bengaluru opening builds on Nespresso's recent expansion efforts in Delhi NCR, Gurugram and Mumbai, where the brand has introduced a combination of boutiques, kiosks and pavilion formats.
Widely regarded as one of India's foremost coffee destinations, Bengaluru has witnessed a growing consumer preference for premium coffee experiences, single-origin selections, and specialised brewing techniques. The city's sophisticated and evolving coffee culture continues to attract global coffee brands looking to strengthen their presence in the Indian market.
Manish Tiwary, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestlé India, said, "Bengaluru has always shared a special relationship with coffee. Bringing Nespresso to this city, feels like a natural milestone. Over the past year, Nespresso has expanded its presence across Delhi NCR, Mumbai and now Bengaluru, through multiple retail formats, such as pavilions, stores and kiosks. All with the single objective of going where the discerning consumer is and meeting them in their spaces and their moments."
Renaud Tinel, Head of Zone Asia Pacific, Nespresso, added, "India is one of fastest growing coffee markets in the world, signifying long-term potential. Bengaluru represents an exciting opportunity for us to bring Nespresso to a community that has long pioneered conversations around coffee in India. With every new touchpoint, we aim to make the Nespresso experience more accessible while continuing to uphold the excellence and innovation the brand is known for globally.
The launch of the Bengaluru Pavilion reflects Nespresso's optimism about the growth potential of India's premium coffee market, driven by increasing disposable incomes, evolving consumer preferences and a rising appreciation for coffee quality and craftsmanship. These trends are creating favourable conditions for international brands to expand and strengthen their presence in the country.
Through this latest addition to its retail portfolio, Nespresso is further expanding its footprint in India by catering to urban consumers seeking elevated and curated coffee experiences. The brand continues to focus on establishing strategically located retail touchpoints across major cities as part of its broader growth strategy.
