Electric vehicle brand Tata.ev has announced a partnership with mobile charging provider Hopcharge to introduce on-demand charging vans across the National Capital Region (NCR). The initiative will allow EV owners to book doorstep charging services, reducing the need for fixed home or building-level charging infrastructure.
The service is expected to benefit residents of high-rise apartments, rented homes and areas with limited parking facilities. Customers purchasing a Tata.ev vehicle through authorised dealerships will also receive complimentary doorstep charging for a limited period, subject to terms and conditions.
The move addresses charging infrastructure challenges in densely populated urban centres such as Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad. Operated under Tata Motors, Tata.ev aims to simplify EV ownership through mobile charging solutions, although details regarding fleet size, financial terms and future expansion remain undisclosed. The initiative is seen as a step toward accelerating EV adoption in India.
