Akarsh K. Hebbar is the President of Vedanta Ltd. and the
Global Managing Director of Vedanta’s Semiconductor
and Display Glass business. He also leads Vedanta
Spark, the Group’s global corporate innovation,
accelerator, and ventures program. In addition, he serves
as the Managing Director of AvanStrate Inc., a pioneer in
developing and manufacturing glass substrates for thin
film transistor (TFT) color liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
Headquartered in Japan with manufacturing facilities in
Taiwan and South Korea, AvanStrate Inc. is part of the
Vedanta Group, where Akarsh is a key promoter
shareholder.
He envisions a bright future for India in high-tech manufacturing and believes this will
strengthen
the country’s electronics ecosystem, positioning India as a global hub for innovation and
advanced production under the ‘Make in India’ vision.
