Amit Jain is the CEO & Co-Founder of CarDekho Group, one of India’s homegrown unicorns with a diversified presence across autotech, fintech, insurtech and mobility. An alumnus of IIT Delhi, Amit brings over two decades of experience across technology, consumer platforms and entrepreneurship. Amit co-founded GirnarSoft with his brother Anurag Jain in 2007. Following a visit to the 2008 Auto Expo, he identified the need for accessible and trustworthy vehicle information for Indian consumers, which led to the founding of CarDekho. From its beginnings as a home-garage venture in Jaipur, the group has grown into a diversified platform across India and Southeast Asia. Under his leadership, CarDekho Group has expanded beyond its auto-marketplace roots into a portfolio spanning autotech, mobility, fintech and insurtech, with brands including CarDekho, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, InsuranceDekho, rupyy, Revv and Carrum. Amit is also an active policy and industry advocate for technology-led economic growth and entrepreneurship. He engages with policymakers and industry forums and, as a member of the Startup Policy Forum, represents CarDekho Group in initiatives led by Startup India, contributing to India’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. He also serves on the investors’ panel of Shark Tank India.
