Honda Unveils 10 New Two-Wheeler Models
HMSI has introduced 10 new and updated two-wheelers ahead of the festive season, reaffirming its multi-pathway strategy with continued investments in EV, flex-fuel, and ICE technologies.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled 10 new and updated two-wheeler models for the Indian market. The lineup includes vehicles powered by internal combustion engine (ICE), electric, and flex-fuel technologies. The product offensive comes ahead of the festive season as competition intensifies in India's two-wheeler market.

Of the 10 models showcased, six are all-new products—the ADV160 flex-fuel scooter, QC3 electric scooter, CB500, Rebel 300, XR L300, and XR300 Rally. Honda also introduced three updated variants of the CB350 along with an updated Rebel 500.

The launch comes at a time when Honda is locked in a close battle with Hero MotoCorp for leadership in the domestic two-wheeler market. Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto is also preparing to introduce 10 product updates, including two all-new models, ahead of the festive buying season.

Focus on Multi-Pathway Strategy

Honda President Tsutsumu Otani said the company will continue to pursue a multi-pathway strategy rather than relying on a single powertrain technology.

"No single technology can meet the needs of every customer in every market. Honda's approach includes advanced ICE, electric mobility, and alternative fuels," Otani said.

Customer Expectations Are Evolving

According to Otani, India's two-wheeler market is evolving rapidly, with customers now expecting more than just basic transportation.

"Customers today seek greater comfort, enhanced safety, better connectivity, and an improved ownership experience. Fuel efficiency and total cost of ownership remain important, while cleaner mobility solutions are becoming increasingly relevant," he said.

He added that Honda's future roadmap is built around customer needs, infrastructure readiness, affordability, and practical usability, while also considering sustainability across the entire energy cycle—from energy source to vehicle usage.

India Emerging as a Global Manufacturing Hub

Honda continues to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and localisation efforts in India to reinforce its position in the domestic market. While the company aims to narrow the gap with the market leader, it acknowledged that regaining the top position remains a long-term objective.

Otani described India as a strategic market for Honda, saying the country is becoming not only a major consumer market but also a global hub for manufacturing and innovation.

"India is not only an important market for Honda but is also becoming a source of new ideas, strong manufacturing capabilities, and innovation for the world," he said.

He added that Honda will continue to focus on localisation, manufacturing excellence, and network expansion under its vision of "Make in India, for India and for the World," while delivering innovative, reliable, and practical mobility solutions for customers.
