Kia Launches Syros EV in India, Prices Start at Rs 13.49 Lakh
Kia India has launched the Syros EV at a starting price of Rs 13.49 lakh, offering up to 526 km range, a 15-year battery warranty, and an assured 80% buyback programme.

Kia India has launched the Syros EV, its second mass-market electric SUV in the country, with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 13.49 lakh for the 42 kWh battery variant and Rs 16.99 lakh for the 51.4 kWh Extended Range variant. The electric SUV will be available at Kia dealerships across India from July 30, 2026.

To encourage EV adoption, Kia has introduced a range of ownership benefits with the Syros EV. These include an assured buyback value of up to 80% after three years, a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing option that brings the starting ownership cost down to Rs 7.99 lakh, with battery EMIs starting at Rs 3.3 per kilometre. The company is also offering a 15-year unlimited-kilometre high-voltage battery warranty for the first owner.

Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said the Syros EV has been designed to make electric mobility more accessible while addressing key customer concerns through benefits such as the buyback programme and long-term battery warranty.

Up to 526 km Driving Range

The Kia Syros EV is available with two battery options. The 51.4 kWh battery pack delivers an ARAI-certified range of 526 km, while the 42 kWh battery offers a certified range of 443 km. According to Kia, the Syros EV is the first vehicle in its segment to offer a driving range exceeding 500 km.

The electric SUV produces 171 PS of power, enabling the larger battery variant to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. It also supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes.

Advanced Technology and Charging Ecosystem

Built on Kia K1 platform, the Syros EV uses a Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery pack. It comes equipped with regenerative braking paddle shifters, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, and a battery heating system for improved performance in different weather conditions.

The vehicle is supported by Kia's K-Charge ecosystem, accessible through the MyKia app, providing access to more than 20,300 charging points across 23 charge point operators nationwide. Kia also has over 129 dealerships equipped with DC fast chargers and more than 275 EV-ready workshops across India.

Premium Features and Safety

The Syros EV features LED lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, nine exterior colour options, and three interior themes. Inside, it offers a 30-inch panoramic display, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless smartphone charging.

For safety, the SUV comes with Level 2 ADAS featuring 16 advanced driver-assistance functions, along with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and several other standard safety features.

The Kia Syros EV is available in seven variants. Kia India currently sells the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Carnival, EV6, EV9, and now the Syros EV in the Indian market. The company manufactures its vehicles at its production facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
