He is a veteran of the Indian automobile industry with over two decades of experience. He joined Volvo Car India in 2016 and was elevated to the role of Managing Director in 2021. Jyoti Malhotra holds an MBA in Marketing from Bharati Vidyapeeth and a Bachelor of Engineering (Production) from the University of Pune. He also completed the Global Program for Management Development at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Under his leadership, Volvo Car India is focused on accelerating its electrification plans, with a strong emphasis on safety, performance and sustainability. He has always commented on the importance of consistent policies and the need for a robust charging infrastructure to promote EV adoption in India.
