Dr. Neeta Verma is the Chief Advisor (Information Technology) to Election Commission of India
. At ECI she leads the IT initiatives for management of Elections and was part of the core
team associated with conduct of Lok Sabha Elections 2024, one of the largest Elections in
the World . She led the team extending IT systems to support varied aspects of Elections,
right from announcement of Elections in March 2024 to its conclusion with declaration of
Results in June 2024.
Dr. Neeta Verma is the former Director General of National Informatics Centre, a premier
Technology organization of the GoI. With a career spanning over three & a half decades, she
has been spearheading the Digital Transformation initiatives through development of Digital
Platforms for Govt.
She led the setting up of technology platform for MyGov, a citizen engagement &
crowd-sourcing platform engaging over 14 million citizens. She brings extensive experience
in the field of open data, led the launch of Open Data Platform to release government data
in open for public good, She had guided the productization of NIC’s popular solutions such
as eOffice, eHospital, eProcurement & many more.
