Rishma Kaur is the Chairman of Berger Paints India Limited, one of India’s most respected and
long-standing brands with a global footprint across South Asia and Europe. With more than 25
years of leadership experience in the paints and coatings industry, she has been
instrumental in steering Berger Paints through a period of significant transformation,
blending a century-old legacy with innovation, sustainability, and global relevance.
She began her career with international project assignments in the UK at SC Johnson Wax and
Cementone Beaver Ltd., before returning to India to join U.K. Paints and later Berger
Paints. Over the years, she has held pivotal leadership positions in business development,
governance, and corporate strategy. In August 2024, she assumed the role of Chairman of
Berger Paints India Ltd., after serving as Executive Director for over a decade.
Rishma also serves on the boards of Berger Paints Bangladesh, Berger Jenson & Nicholson
(Nepal & Bangladesh), Bolix S.A. (Poland), Berger Becker Coatings (India), and other joint
ventures with global majors such as Nippon Paints and Rock Paints Japan. She plays an active
role on committees overseeing audit, governance, risk management, sustainability, and
corporate social responsibility.
